Minimum opening order for new dealers is $ 10,000 (US dollars)
Opening orders require a 50% deposit and balance PROFORMA.
All purchase orders must be submitted in writing and are subject to acceptance by South Cone. Purchase orders will not be processed unless signed by an authorized buyer.
Purchase orders will be considered firm with our Order Confirmation and entered into our system for scheduling and production.
South Cone, at its sole discretion, may grant credit terms up to a maximum of 30 days from date of invoice (Net 30) upon the submission of a completed credit application to our credit department. Please allow two weeks for processing.
Special orders are subject to a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of order.
Changes and cancellation to purchase orders may be submitted within one week of sale order date.
In order for changes or cancellations to be accepted by the company, a written request must be submitted and acknowledged by South Cone. A 30% restocking few will be assessed if orders are cancelled beyond the grace period.
All orders must contain the following information: QUANTITY, ITEM CODE, ITEM DESCRIPTION, BILLING ADDRESS, SHIP TO ADDRESS, FREIGHT CARRIER OF CHOICE.
Prices:
South Cone reserves the right to change prices and/or specifications without notice.
All items are billed at the prices in effect at the time of the order.
Shipping:
South Cone will make every possible effort to ship orders within the quoted lead time. Incomplete shipping information, past due balances or unpaid PROFORMA terms may cause delays in shipping.
All shipments are F.O.B Poway, California, with the exception of container orders and products sold off the floor during furniture markets.
Customers are required to indicate shipping method (carton or blanket) and preferred transportation carrier at time of order. South Cone may, as a courtesy, recommend a carrier whenever requested by a customer. We do not monitor carrier’s actions and do not guarantee delivery results. Shipping provided by these carriers may be limited to business to business, “dock to dock” or “curb side” deliveries. South Cone does not offer residential shipping.
All orders ship freight collect unless otherwise stated at the time of order. South Cone may accept to prepay shipping charges at a 20% mark up. This will be added to South Cone’s invoice.
All orders will automatically be shipped “as ready” unless a specified date or shipping instruction is indicated in your purchase order. Please be specific at the time of order. Changes to ship date, ship to address, partial shipments and or carrier information must be submitted in writing to the attention of your sales associate and will be accepted only if the order is still pending for shipping.
South Cone will provide a two-week courtesy storage at the customer’s request. Thereafter, South Cone will charge a storage fee of 5% for up to one month after the courtesy period. If the product is not picked up after one month, South Cone will cancel the order and charge the customer a 30% restocking fee.
Payment Terms:
Payment terms for all merchandise are based on the date of invoice.
A late payment fee of 1% per month will be applied to all past due balances. The annual rate will accrue daily.
A 3% of the total order will be charge to all credit card transactions.
A 2% discount will apply to all approved net 30 orders paid at the time of delivery.
Late payments may cause delays or cancellations of orders and revocation of credit terms.
Delinquent accounts may be submitted to the appropriate credit reporting bureaus. The customer is responsible for all collection costs and /or attorney fees.
Returns And Claims:
Please inspect all products thoroughly upon receipt. It is the customer’s responsibility to note any damages or shortages found on the carrier’s bill of lading. Both unpacked and packed merchandise require careful inspection, as it is easy to overlook a minor dent or broken leg. Customers that accept delivery of goods without inspecting them are fully liable for any damages or shortages. South Cone will deny all claims.
Upon receipt of damaged merchandise, the customer has the option to refuse the damaged product. Whenever the damaged product is refused, the customer must notify our Customer Care department within 24 hours in order for us to take appropriate action. The carrier will send the product back to South Cone for inspection and claim processing.
The customer also has the option to keep the damaged merchandise. When doing so, the customer takes will responsibility to make the necessary repairs and file a claim against the carrier. South Cone will expect full payment for such goods within the terms stipulated in the invoice.
South Cone will gladly repair, exchange or take any product back due to manufacturing defects and/or errors in our part. Kindly submit all request in writing and provide as much information as possible (QUANTITY, CODE, SERIAL NUMBER, FINISH, DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM, SALES ORDER NUMBER, ETC.) Please address all requests to the attention of our Customer Care Department. Only the Customer Care Department has the authority to approve any returns, repairs or exchanges. All approved returns must be accompanied by its assigned RMA# (return merchandise authorization number). South Cone will refuse any unauthorized returns.
Merchandise cannot be returned for reasons other than manufacturing defects or errors on our part.
Warranty:
SOUTH CONE warrants its furniture to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase. If you discover a defect in a product covered by this warranty, we will repair or if repair is not possible, replace the item.
EXCLUSIONS
This warranty covers defects in manufacturing discovered while using the product as recommended by the manufacturer. The warranty does not cover loss or theft, nor does coverage extend to damage caused by misuse, abuse, unauthorized modification, improper storage conditions, lightening, or natural disasters. The warranty does not cover parts that are subject to normal wear and tear replacement requirements.
Limits of liability
Should the product(s) fail, your sole recourse shall be repair or replacement, as described in the preceding paragraphs. We will not be held liable to you or any other party for any damages that result from the failures of this product. Damages excluded include, but are not limited to the following: lost profits, lost savings and incidental or consequential damages arising from the use, or inability to use this product. In no event will South Cone be liable for more than the amount of your purchase price, no to exceed the current list price for the product, and excluding tax, shipping and handling charges.
